As a professional athlete, I train hard and I truly believe that hard work pays off. The harder I am able to train, the better I will perform in competitions. However, in order to do this I must afford the best training. All sports, when competing at the elite level are expensive, and ice skating is no different. I am very fortunate that I have some sponsorship to help me train, however, more is always welcome.
I remember as a child, my local village raised funds that allowed me to compete and afford equipment that would otherwise have been unavailable to me. Those people believed in me, I was, and am, so grateful. It is truly humbling to find that people have faith in you.

Why Sponsorship Matters
Sponsoring an athlete allows that person not only to train, but to prepare to train mentally. Knowing that there is just that little extra flex in life allows the mind to relax. In turn, this allows for proper training to take place and suitable recovery. Many athletes are not so lucky, training and earning a living doing hard jobs. Never doubt, sponsorship means the world to athletes, it is a vote of confidence.
